Terms of Service
Effective: July 13, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PgBeam platform, including our website, APIs, proxy services, and dashboard (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
PgBeam provides a PostgreSQL access gateway that enforces policy in the wire protocol: scoped credentials, read-only enforcement, table allowlists, PII masking, query budgets, a kill-switch, and a full audit trail, with connection pooling and query caching included. The Service acts as an intermediary between your applications or AI agents and your PostgreSQL database.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Features and APIs may change at any time. We provide advance notice of pricing changes and changes to these Terms as described in Sections 5 and 10. Except where a separate written agreement (for example, an enterprise plan) states otherwise, the Service is provided with no service level agreement (SLA) and no uptime, availability, or support commitment.
3. Account & Access
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service; (d) reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Service; (e) exceed your plan's usage limits in a manner designed to circumvent billing.
5. Plans & Billing
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Usage beyond your plan limits is billed as overage at the rates published on our pricing page. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.
6. Data & Privacy
PgBeam proxies queries between your application and your database. We do not store your query results beyond transient caching as configured by you. Cached data is held in-memory in the region closest to your application and is not persisted to disk.
For details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, see our Privacy Policy. If you process personal data through PgBeam, our Data Processing Agreement governs our role as a data processor.
7. Availability & SLA
No SLA. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any availability guarantee. Except where a separate written agreement (for example, an enterprise plan) states otherwise, we do not offer any service level agreement (SLA), uptime commitment, or guaranteed response times, and the Service may experience unplanned downtime.
We aim for reasonable availability but make no commitments regarding uptime percentages, maintenance windows, or incident response times. Any SLA is available only if separately agreed in writing, for example on an enterprise plan.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PgBeam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. You may cancel your account through the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
